"The Real Tragedy Of Obamacare Has Yet To Be Felt By The Poor", Forbes.com

"One of the most tragic failings of ObamaCare is that it will make it harder for many of the most vulnerable citizens – patients with no option but Medicaid – to get care".

"Medicaid is cumbersome, complex, and wasteful – already the worst health care program in the country. But rather than making changes to improve or modernize this program designed to finance care for the poor, the Obama administration is trying to convince states to add at least 16 million more people to Medicaid".

"Dems' Medicare Lie", Betsy McCaughey, RN in the New York Post

"President Obama is criss-crossing the country, warning that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan would “end Medicare as we know it.” Attention, New York’s 3 million seniors: Don’t be fooled. It’s the Obama health law that destroyed Medicare, though the impact will not be felt for another year or more".

Last year, Richard Foster, chief actuary for Medicare, warned Congress that seniors will have difficulty
finding doctors and institutions to accept Medicare".

"Spending $716 Billion, Twice", National Review

"The issue of $716 billion in spending cuts to Medicare has taken center stage, with accusations flying about who is raiding Medicare and pushing Granny off the cliff".

"The president’s plan to “save” Medicare relies primarily on paying doctors and hospitals less and less by keeping in place the 1997
trajectory for spending cuts.According to Medicare actuaries, this would mean that 40 percent of providers eventually will either go bankrupt or stop seeing Medicare patients altogether".

"To make sure that these spending targets are met, Obamacare creates the dreaded Independent Payment Advisory Board to enforce the cuts — and even more if needed. The IPAB puts the thumb screws in the Obamacare strategy, because the law makes it nearly impossible for Congress to override the board’s orders and shields the board’s decisions from judicial review — and patient input".

"It’s now a choice between the Romney-Ryan market-based model and Obamacare’s double-counting and price controls enforced by an unelected, unaccountable board charged with paying doctors less and less, to the point that 40 percent of them drop out. Let’s have an honest debate about which of the two visions actually would sustain Medicare, and has the best chance of getting the federal budget on a more sustainable track".

"Dollars and Sense: The Real Reasons To Say No To State Healthcare Exchanges", Twila Brase, RN, CCHFreedom.org

"Many states continue to move toward implementation of the centerpiece of the Affordable Care Act: state healthcare exchanges. But as these implementations continue, there are four major issues impacting both individual patient/taxpayers as well as state legislators".

"Could Obamacare Make The Uninsured Problem Worse?", Investors Business Daily

"When President Obama was selling health reform, he often talked about providing universal coverage. But a Congressional Budget Office report out this week finds that goal getting more elusive".
"But the uninsured problem under ObamaCare could be much worse than the CBO projects".

"What the report doesn't cover is the fact that the other legs of the ObamaCare stool designed to expand insurance coverage — the individual mandate, the employer mandate and the state insurance exchanges — are also buckling".

"As a result, ObamaCare will likely cover far fewer uninsured than advertised. There's even a chance that, if all goes wrong, it could actually make the uninsured problem worse".
