You REJECT the "public option".

You REJECT insurance mandates on the employer and/or individual.

You REJECT the creation of another federal bureaucracy which will be responsible for defining "quality" care and best practices.

Remind Congressional staff members, you will verify the voting record of their particular member of Congress and will not forget on election day. You intend to follow their re-election campaign and plan on donating generously to their prime opponent if they vote on the wrong side of this issue.

Please do not support a healthcare reform plan which contains a public insurance option. This will lead to a single payer system, which President Obama has said is his goal, on the record many times, before he took office. This system would be more expensive than our current system. We cannot afford this plan. To pay for it, taxes will need to be raised and services cut. Rationing of care will be necessary with rules imposed by a healthcare board concerned only about cost containment and not the welfare of patients. I do not want to lose control of my healthcare decisions and do not want to have the government placed between myself and my doctor. This entire process is disgraceful because of the lack of transparency and discussion. Please slow this process down and consider other options that utilize current market solutions. Your vote will decide if you are responsible for ruining the best healthcare system in the world.
