As a grassroots organization, we have ambitious plans to promote our message, yet have a limited amount of working capital. Unfortunately, the methods we utilize to communicate our healthcare reform suggestions and educate the public, tend to be expensive. Although the website/blog is working well for us, we understand that the most effective means of reaching the largest number of people involves print, radio and television media. All donated funds will be used to purchase advertising through these venues. Accounting details will be disclosed as required by law. Our initial strategy is to invest working capital for marketing/advertising purposes. If we succeed on this issue, we will then direct our capital towards developing a long-term business plan, hiring of an experienced grassroots organizer, professional fundraiser, and public relations/marketing adviser. If our members and leadership make the decision to terminate further efforts, all remaining funds will be donated to national candidates who we believe are most capable of representing the long-term concerns of patients and physicians.
